Frankie's debut! His first 3D pictures!

Frankie had his first 3D ultrasound yesterday. He cooperated for the camera! Smiling, yawning, and opening his eyes! He has Brian's nose, chin, and cheeks! We're not sure about the mouth yet. : )

Doing better

I went to the doctor yesterday, and she is going to let me go back to work on Monday, with conditions of course. For the next six weeks, I am on "watch" as she puts it. No exercising, no standing for long periods of time, no overdoing it, no lifting, etc. I am to come home from school and immediately put my feet up. Sounds like fun, but not an easy task for someone who hates to sit/lay around. I was so excited when she told me I could do some laundry in moderation today (most of the other household duties, like vaccuming, are off limits). Brian has been so wonderful through it all, taking care of everything that needs to be done. The best part about the doctors visit is that we got to have another ultrasound. He is getting so big alreay! He weighs
3 1/2 pounds! His head is down, and he had his arm up above it, waving at us. It was especially neat because our moms came with us, and got to see Frankie for the first time!
This is his head. You can see his eyes, nose, and mouth!

Bed Rest : (

Hi all, Let me start by saying I am okay, and the baby is okay. I started having contractions Sunday night at 3am (I guess that is techincally Monday morning). I called my doctors' service at 5am, and she asked if I wanted to come in to the hospital or wait until 9pm to come to my doctor's office. I said that the contractions are sporadic and they only lasted 3-5 seconds, or the longest was about 10 seconds, so I can wait until 9am. I went in at 9am and they hooked me up to the neonatal monitor to monitor the baby's heartbeat and my contractions. Since I was having semi strong contractions, they admitted me to the hospital, and started an IV. They said this was a precaution because dehydration can start contractions, though my urine showed that I was well hydrated. They said that the contractions could be caused by overdoing it, which is definitely my main issue, as most of you know. I am not a sitter, I go go go, and it caught up to me. I was at the hospital until about 5:30pm, when they discharged me with the diagnosis of bed rest for a week. I am not to go anywhere or do anything for the week. Unfortunatley, my doctor said that right now I am temporarily being placed on bed rest for a week, but when I go back to see her on Wednesday and then again on Friday, if she doesn't like what she sees, I will be put on bed rest for 6 weeks! She already told me that I am on watch for the next six weeks no matter what. She said, no exercise, no overdoing it, and no any extra activities at school. If I am allowed to go back on Monday, I need to sit while I teach as much as possible, come home from school and put my feet up. Once I hit 34 weeks, I will be able to do more because then I am a bit more out of the woods than I am now at 28 weeks. I think that I am most bummed about missing my water aerobics classes! Other than that, Frankie is doing well. He already weighs 3 1/2 pounds and is very active!

Who does Frankie look like?
